The 2nd & 7 Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Columbus, Ohio whose mission is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward. Started in 1999 by three former Ohio State University football players, Luke Fickell, Ryan Miller and Mike Vrabel, The 2nd & 7 Foundation connects student-athletes with 2nd graders to promote reading and provide books for each child. In the past 18 years, The 2nd & 7 Foundation has given out over 200,000 books in 19 states by partnering with 96 universities and high schools.
